This book uplifts the gift of language as a wondrous aspect of what makes us human. It was skillfully translated to ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi by Hawaiian language professor Kaʻiuokalani Damas. The pages are filled with beautiful color illustrations and pearls of riddling wisdom to grow a profound appreciation of the many gifts of the Hawaiian language, and language in general. Through a collaboration of the Hale Kuamoʻo with UNESCO, this Hawaiian edition is being released on February 21, 2025, International Mother Language Day, as a way to celebrate and uplift all mother languages of the world and the efforts to help them thrive.
