Remembering Lāhainā

The Places, People and Culture of Old Lāhainā

This beautiful coffee-table book is a lavish collection of more than 250 plein air paintings by 87 professional artists depicting the unique allure and culture of Lāhainā, Maui—the historic, much-beloved town destroyed by the devastating fires of August 2023. Published by the Maui Arts League, Remembering Lāhainā is a treasured collectible capturing the spirit of the old town: the sheltering mountains, bustling harbor, spectacular sunsets, and popular galleries and restaurants of Front Street. Net proceeds from sales of the first release of Remembering Lāhainā will benefit Maui artists and their staff who have been affected by the fires on Maui.

Founded in 1975, the Maui Arts League is a fine arts membership organization focusing on painting, sculpture and photography. This 501(c)(3) organization is dedicated to showcasing, cultivating and building appreciation for visual fine arts, while creating opportunities for people of all ages, cultures and backgrounds to embrace the art experience.
