Hi'iaka saves a life during her travels from Kaua'i to Hawai'i and becomes a heroine to the natives of the valley.

The Ka‘ena Aloha Series contain eight traditional Hawaiian legends stories about the Wai‘anae coast on the island of O'ahu told in photographic depiction. Each story features photographers and models from their respective moku who all donated their time and work to recreate the lost stories of ancient Hawai‘i.
